Chicago Fun

We had the opportunity to visit the Temple in Chicago yesterday, it was so awesome. We also meet up with our good friends (neighbors)from Wyoming, the Hadleys! We had a wonderful time. We walked the mile of shopping (stop a couple of places) and then went to it at "Shaws Oyster Resturant"! YUMMY! It was so good.

Cassie' in BAND

Cassie joins up with the Marching Band.......3 weeks ago they asked Cassie to join the band.......she did...The work is very hard both physical and mental. She performed Friday night at the football game. She did a great job! She is so cute........

It has been so long.......

Hi! I am back.....what a crazy summer we have had. We are all doing well. We finished the basement and everything is set up! YES! We have our office, computer, scrapbook area, TV (entertainment), stereo, pool table, ping pong, darts and another game table....I am so happy and excited. Everything looks so wonderful. My husband is the greatest.....he worked so hard on everything.....and it paid off!
Cassie is doing swell....she had a fun summer - She went to EFY in Hiram Ohio and had a very special experience. She passed her driving test! Played on the Goshen College BB league (they won the Manchester Tourney)! She joined Marching band this year! She starts school on the 19th! 11th grade.........WOW!
Elder Johnson is doing wonderful. He loves his mission and has grown so much. His amazing testimony just keeps growing. 4 months and he is home. We are so excited...we can't wait.
Mike and I are doing well. We are enjoying each other, taking walks with the dogs, riding the Harley, sitting on the patio, and playing pool. I am not very good, but I try.

I about forgot, yes we got another dog.....his name is "Willie"! We love him, he is a blast.

My family is the greatest! I am so very blessed to have such a wonderful husband, and two awesome children.........

I've been Tagged!

Ok! Somethings you might not know about me!

I hate mornings! Don't tell me what to do before 8:00am.....it freaks me out!

Favorite color - purple

I love candy!

I miss Wyoming!

I love spending time with my family!

I could stay up all night working, reading and playing and sleep all day.

When I am alone I love to play the piano.

My biggest challenge this year is learning to play the organ.

I don't like to swim!

I have to make my bed - every morning......

I love sitting outside at night listening to the frogs and toads.

I love to SHOP!

I am not good at decorating the house, but I try.

When I was 17, my friend and I stole candy from the trick or treaters.....ouch...sorry :(

I love having fun, laughing, joking and just being happy.

A Better World!

Life is tough when you are a teenager, and more so when you aren't excepted because of your beliefs. I feel so sad by the judgment of others! We all need to stop and not judge anyone. We cannot see what is in the heart! It is not possible to judge another fairly unless you know their desires, their faith, and their goals. If we could accept and practice the second great commandment, "Thou shall love thy neighbour as thyself", Matthew 22:39, and really learn to love everyone we come in contact with no matter what church they belong to; what a awesome world we would live in!

Life without Hershey!

This month has been a sad one for the "Johnson Family", we lost are little (big) Hershey. The Vet said that she had a blood clot and it went into her intestine and then burst open. There wasn't anything we could do. We do know that she didn't suffer much, she just went to sleep. We miss her so much. She brought so much joy into our family. She was 12 years old (77). Our Snickers is so sad and just cries when we leave her. We know Hershey is running around in heaven and feeling much better....

"Pets enrich our life beyond measure,
They give us the comfort of their companionship.
They accept us without criticism or judgment,
And they provide the one thing that few people
are able to give: 'UNCONDITIONAL LOVE'

POOR HERSHEY

Hershey had major surgery last Saturday night....I was so upset. I was alone, Mike was out of town and Cassie at her first Semi-Formal Dance. I was scared and didn't know what to do......A trip to the Vet @ 9:30, and I was told she had a tumor and was bleeding. We went ahead with the surgery and she did well. The tumor was the size of an orange...... He then told me that she would not have made it until morning. He took the tumor out and her spleen.

She seems to be healing well, and we couldn't be happier.......

Crazy! what we will do for our pets, but she is a member of our family!
